Feldenkrais är en metod där du med hjälp av olika kroppsövningar ökar din medvetenhet om hur kroppen fungerar, förbättrar kroppshållningen och sättet du rör dig.

  • Ingen paranmälan, de flesta övningar sker enskilt
  • Bra att ta med yogamatta/liggunderlag samt smidiga kläder, gärna varma sockor och tröja – det kan vara lite kyligt i Folkdanssalen

Lördag 4 mars
14:00 – 15:00 Feldenkrais ATM : variations on the pelvis clock 
15:15 – 16:00 Standing integration and exercises to improve the balance
16:10 – 17:30 tango application : slow motion combinations

Söndag 5 mars
11:30 – 12:10 : Feldenkrais ATM – we explore the connections between the weight under the sole of the foot and the upper body
12:20 – 13:00 : Feldenkrais ATM “take your back back” (and how it helps to use the heel)
13:15 – 14:45 : tango application with paradas

Improve your grounding and find freedom and ease in dancing: workshop Feldenkrais + tango for grounding.

How balanced do you feel when dancing? Are there steps when your foot feels a bit shaky or you hook the toes to grab the floor? Or is it simply the feeling that dancing takes a lot of effort just to keep equilibrium?

But are there better ways to teach grounding than repeating “Push the floor” for years? Definitely. And the Feldenkrais method is my preferred one among many approaches that I experiecenced through the years.

During this workshop, you will improve your grounding, by means that will probably surprise you. Because mostly, improving one’s grounding is not about building muscles ( well, it is also, and we will see exercises to do that) but it is about releasing unnecessary effort and organizing the moves differently.

While each day the movements will involve all of your body, the first day will be particularly dedicated to the hip joint and the numerous muscles that surround them. During the second day, the focus will shift to the feet and knees.
